Having a “home” for my inspiration has left me feeling continuously… inspired.  I see the world in more detail now… connecting dots I didn’t bother to connect previously… taking notes about ideas and themes that I formerly allowed to pass me by.

This concept lit my metaphorical light bulb…. I realized that this site is me.  It details and captures the essence of my experience here in this lifetime.  Deliciously Alive gives my truth a voice, and I became aware that my voice is not complete without including (at least highlights) from my creative history.  I became thrilled to sift through old projects and writings, remembering the moments and awakenings that sparked my inner fire at that stage in my life.

For this first “Creative Recall” post (I came up with the name while driving last night ) I am revisiting my work in photography. I took the class for three years in high school, freshmen through junior.  Eventually TV productions took precedent of my “elective” classes with the allure of the Friday variety show,”TV on the Run”, and the morning news, which I frequently hosted… but I truly enjoyed producing art with my Canon. Our teacher was talented and laid back, nurturing an atmosphere where creativity could freely bloom.  I still can recall her teachings and they still whisper in my soul when I capture a moment on film.

The photos I am sharing were conceptualized from the ages of 14-17.
